Kahnub Zinc Wallpaper Sample

Kahnub is a wallpaper design inspired by the Roman legacy and the evocative representations made in this culture of the Nile, its flora and fauna. Its motifs were rescued from a magical mosaic found in the House of the Faun in Pompeii during the excavations undertaken between 1830 and 1832.

This mosaic from the 2nd century BC was part of the private decoration of a villa, and it falls within the Nilotic genre, a genre full of fascination and exoticism that represented idealized scenes of the Nile River, full of symbolism, exuberant flora and wild fauna.
